• Primary/Premium Material: High-Chromium Cast Iron
• Common Grades: 15-3 or 20-3 High-Chromium Cast Iron (approximately 15% or 20% Chromium, 3% Carbon).
• Advantages: Extremely high hardness (HRC 60-68), excellent abrasion resistance, capable of withstanding the high pressure and gritty conditions of excavator operation.
• Manufacturing Process: After casting, the rings undergo precision grinding. The sealing face (the mirror-like surface where the two rings rub against each other) must have an exceptionally fine finish.
